Romance in Real Life.

Houston, Miss., Free Press.

After thirty-eight years separation, Lee Barton, colored, of this town, has been permitted, through a kind providence, to once more meet his wife. During the old days of slavery, he was sold in Virginia and brought to this state, where he was married again. About a year ago his wife died and after several months he wrote to Virginia to find the whereabouts of his "slavery days" wife. A prompt answer came informing him that his wife was still alive and well. A correspondence between them was the result, and after a few weeks of this kind of business, she agreed to come to him. He sent her the money to pay her way out here, and this Thursday morning he departed for Okolona to meet her ; and ere this appears in print, they will, after thirty-eight years of separation, be again united as man and wife. May God's choicest blessings be with "Uncle" Lee and his "old" wife is the wish of the entire Free Press crew.
