MR. EDITOR — I wish to inquire for my people that I left in Tennessee in 1856. We all used to belong to the Widow Cooper, 5 1/2 miles from Charlotte, and I was sold to a man by the name of Wm. Holt; I was with him about 2 years and he broke, and then I was sold again to a man by the name of James T.
