MR. EDITOR-- I wish to inquire for my people. I left them in Mississippi, in Kings county. Father was Jefferson Carter; mother was Beckie Carter. They had eight children, viz: Edward, myself, Dave, William, Jefferson, Amy Elizabeth, Mary Ann, Martha Ann, and Charlie Carter. The last time I saw them was in 1840.
