I left my father when I was a small boy near Columbia, Avil Dis- trict [District], South Carolina, and was brought to Arkansas by James Patterson. My mother's name is Amelia; step-father's was Boson William; mine is Add. Patterson. My father, Evis[o]n Rundells, be- longed [belonged] to [Larkin] Rundells, who was his father.
