DEAR EDITOR: I wish to inquire for my father's kin people. Grandfather was Thomas Franklin, and he died belonging to Dr. James, of Farquhar [Fauquier] county, Virginia, below Warrenton Courthouse. His wife, Rachel, belonged to the same man. His oldest child was Williams; the next was Emperor. Sister Jane married a Mr. Jackson. John, Fanny, Harrison, Thomas, and Nancy were other children.
