MR. EDITOR-I desire to inquire for Louis Bruce, whom I left in New Orleans about 8 or 9 years ago. When I left there he was porter on the steamer Gov. Allen. His wife was my grandmother; she died before I left there. I have written to Louis Bruce several times; he used to answer my letters, but late years I do not hear from him at all.
