Our family name was Corbin, my father was named Henry, my moth- er, Louisa, and I had two sisters, Lucinda and Hannah, and one brother, Butler. We lived in West- moreland county, Virginia. Father belonged to Henry Cox. The others of us belonged to James J. Lamb- kin, who sold mother and the two younger children, Butler and Han- nah, two years before the war.
