Our family belonged to Mr. Gor- ham of Georgetown, Kentucky. I was sold from them in 1853, when I was seventeen years old, to a slave trader named Owens, since which I have no word of them. My father was dead. My mother was named Clarisa; I had five brothers, Clifton, William, George, David and Jordan; and three sis- ters, Ann, Sydney Jane and Mary Eliza. Address Polly Reed, care of Rev. D. Mucker, Georgetown Texas.
