Mr. Editor - I wish to inquire about my mother. Our old home was near Brition's Cross Road, Berne county, North Carolina, we belonged to Powell Herrill, then; Mother and Uncle Charley were bought and carried to or near Houston, Texas, by a widow lady, Patty Johnson and her son James. She gave Uncle Charley and family to a son who lived in Madison county, Miss. I was brought to Mississippi, by John Johnson. Grandmother's name is Liddy Herrill, grandfather, Wiley Tuttle.
