MR. EDITOR-I wish to inquire for my father: He went to Memphis in 1862; the last time I heard from him he was in Louisiana. I was quite a boy when he left. Mrs. Eva Malone told me she saw him in Louisiana in January 1870; he sent sister a ring by Mrs. Malone I hoped he would have written to us before now.
