I was sold to John Roach when I eight years old, then I was sold to Bill Roach. He sold me to Jeannette Crab, and I was then sold to a Negro trader by the name of Tom Pankey. I have five sisters whose names are Martha Ann, Harriett Barbara, Isabella, Amanda and Cynthia, also one brother named Andrew Jackson Willis. My Name, Mahala Willis is now Mahala Wilkes.
