MR. EDITOR-I desire to make inquiry about my father's relatives. Mother was named Sarah and be-longed to Joe Brown, and he sold her, but I don't know to whom, in Newburn, Alabama. My father's name was Augustus, belonged to Joe Brown, the same man my grand mother first belonged to. Her other sons were Nelson and Andrew, her daughters were Georgianna, Susan and others whose names I do not know. Father's mother was brought from Virginia when he was a baby in her arms. The last I heard from them was in 1869, and they were then living in Greene county, Ala., and we were lkiving in Mobile, Ala. we left there in 1870 and came to Oktibbeha county, Miss.-father, mother, sister and myself. Father died Aug. 7, 1873, aged 44 years. At that time I was ten years old and my sister four. Any information concerning their whereabouts would be most thankfully received. My mother, sister and myself live together about two miles north of the old turnpike. Address me at Oktoe, Miss.
