Our family name was Corbin, my father was named Henry, my mother, Louisa, and I had two sisters, Lucinda and Hannah, and one brother, Butler. We lived in Westmoreland county, Virginia. Father belonged to Henry Cox. The others of us belonged to James J. Lambkin, who sold mother and the two younger children, Butler and Hannah, two years before the war.
