DEAR EDITOR-I wish to inquire for my sister Elizabeth. We belonged to James Manning. My mother's name was Fannie Manning. She had three children, Elizabeth, Lilian and myself, Robert. Mother is dead, and Lilian died when she was a baby. We lived in Marengo county, Alabama, near Demopolis. Mr. Manning's daughter married W. W. Harter, and gave me and my sister Elizabeth to Miss Lewis Harter, and we then moved to Milton, Florida, where we staid until a year before the war. Then we moved back to Marengo Co., Ala. When she left me she had one child. Its name was Fannie. I have not seen her since. The last I heard of her she was in Memphis, Tennessee. I wish that every minister would read this to his congregation. Address me at Moss Point, Jackson county, Miss.
