Mr. W. C. Templeton, of 75 Dan- forth avenue, Jersey City, N. J., is anxious to learn the whereabouts of James and Rachel Harris, who for many years before the war be- longed to himself and wife. He heard several years ago that they were living in St. Louis, but he was not then able to look them up. If living, he says, his old slaves are quite advanced in life IN a letter Mr. Templeton says: We often think of them with af- fectionate solitude, and have for years been anxious to know of their whereabouts. I and my fam- ily are very anxious to hear from and see them again, as they are much beloved by the whole family. The wife, Rachel, raised our three daughters, who became very much attached to her.
