DEAR EDITOR—I wish to inquire for my uncle Pharah, who belonged to Michael Gilbert; also Plato. We are from Barnwell county, South Carolina. My father is here with me; his name is Sam Thickland; he used to go by the name of Sanko Gilbert. Plato used to live 15 miles below Alexandria, La., where he was sold to John McGee. My grandmother was named Nancy Gilbert; my mother is Alsy Gilbert. The most of us have been separated 33 [35?] years. Any one knowing of any of them will please write me, in care of Rev. H. J.
