MR. EDITOR--I wish to inquire for my sister Eveline. My brother was taken from her in Montgomery. She belonged to a man named Wm. Lipscomb, but when last heard from she was living with a Mr. Brassfield, who married our young Miss Jane. Myself and our brother Thomas belonged to Mr. William Edings, with whom we came to Texas. When I last heard from sister Eveline she was the mother of four children; her husband is or was named Isaac, and they belonged to Mr. Brassfield. They all moved to some part of Mississippi. Our mother was named Charlott. There were four children of us: Sophie, Thomas, Eveline and Stephen. We have relatives in Greene county, Alabama, near Pinhook, named Jupiter, Easter and Dick, belong- ing to McMaster, but I think Eas- ter went to Mr. Thomas Cunard. My dear Editor if you can find them for me I do believe the M. E. Church would spread her wings still wider over the long lost friends of the South. My name in slave times was Sophie Eddings.
